Peru Weather and Climate

We are often asked about the weather and climate at different times of year in Peru, and it might make a difference as to when you travel.

Temperatures in Peru are fairly constant all year round, hovering around the 18c / 65 F mark for average maximums in Cuzco which is the highest and coolest part of the Peru tour that you will travel to. In the evenings temperatures can dip below freezing so please take warm clothing.

The rainy season, if you can call it that, is between December and March. Heavy rain can occur during this time. There is generally very little rain between May and October.

In my opinion, the best months to travel are between May and September. This is when rainfall is minimal, and there is good sunshine throughout the day.
